Important: Workers who wish to carry out formalities for the approval of overseas contracts will need a special permit for signing contracts issued by the National Migrations Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior. Your passport or alien registration card must be stamped by this institution with a permit authorization to sign work contracts.
Your contracting is governed by the Foreign Workers Contracting Law, which establishes that national or foreign companies can hire foreign personnel, provided these do not exceed 20% of the total number of workers and remunerations paid to such workers do not exceed 30% of the total remunerations paid to the workers.

Attention: Spanish citizens are not subject to the law on hiring of foreign citizens, in virtue of the double nationality agreement between Peru and Spain. However, the regular proceedings for obtaining the residence and working visa should be followed before the General Migrations Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior.
